Achievements you earn by playing the game.

Retro Mastery tracks your progress across classic consoles. Every badge is a real milestone — a boss beaten, an ending reached, a secret found. No arbitrary “don’t jump, don’t get hit” challenges. Ever.

The Fair Play Charter

Four rules every achievement follows.

Tied to a real in-game event

Every unlock reads a flag the game itself sets: a boss defeat, an item pickup, a credits roll, a counter on the status screen.

No self-imposed handicaps

We never ask you to avoid damage, skip a weapon, or beat a stage without jumping. Play the game the way it was designed.

Built-in difficulty counts

If the game ships a hard mode, best ending or score tier, it earns a Mastery badge. If it doesn’t, we don’t invent one.

Triggers are public

Each achievement shows exactly what unlocks it, so you always know what counts before you pick up the controller.

Four kinds of milestones

Every achievement belongs to exactly one category, so you can chase the story, the collection or the challenge the game already built in.

Progression

Story beats, bosses and areas you reach by playing.

Completion

Finishing the game, including alternate and true endings.

Collection

Items, upgrades and secrets the game itself counts.

Mastery

Built-in hard modes and score tiers the game already recognises.

Dust off the cartridges.

8 curated sets and counting, each one reviewed against the Fair Play Charter.
